We are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher with exceptional teaching abilities to assist young learners with intricate requirements, particularly those on the autism spectrum.

The ideal candidate will be instrumental in executing our carefully designed curriculum and assessment strategy, ensuring high-quality educational experiences for every student.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a classroom of students and deliver the full curriculum
  • Create impactful and enriching learning opportunities
  • Collaborate with learning support staff and multidisciplinary teams
  • Motivate and inspire students, parents, and colleagues
  • Attain outstanding progress and achievement rates for all students
  • Build strong relationships with parents, professionals, and the community
  • Contribute positively to the wider school community

Essential Qualifications:

  • PGCE
  • QTS
  • Degree in Education or a related discipline

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in teaching children with Special Educational Needs, particularly those with autism spectrum disorders

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong behaviour management techniques
  • Comprehensive understanding of Special Educational Needs and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) issues

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training or certifications in Special Education

Working Environment:

  • Small class sizes
  • Supportive and collaborative teaching atmosphere
