Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at WJ South West. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of our projects, ensuring that we deliver high-quality services to our clients while maintaining a strong focus on profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the commercial aspects of projects, including estimating, tendering, and contract administration.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing, payment, and cash flow management.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks, ensuring that the company's interests are protected.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a commercial role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Proactive, problem-solving mindset, with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
