About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced chef to join our team as a Peripatetic Culinary Specialist. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality food services to our care homes across the region. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring that our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals that meet their dietary needs and preferences.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality meals for residents in our care homes
• Manage kitchen operations, including inventory management, food safety, and hygiene
• Collaborate with our care teams to understand resident needs and preferences
• Develop and implement menus that cater to diverse dietary requirements
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards

Requirements

• Relevant culinary qualifications (NVQs/SVQs or City & Guilds equivalent)
• Experience in a similar role, preferably in a care home or healthcare setting
• Strong knowledge of nutrition and food safety
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
