Logistics Operative

We are seeking a dedicated and permanent Logistics Operative. The ideal candidate should possess a Counterbalance Forklift Licence or be willing to undergo Forklift Training to join our team at phs Group, contributing to our Washrooms, Healthcare, and Floorcare Divisions.

Key Responsibilities of a Logistics Operative at phs Group include:

  • Maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Preparing inventory for delivery personnel.
  • Ensuring cleanliness and organization of stock areas at all times.
  • Conducting inventory counts as requested.
  • Performing any tasks assigned by the Operations Manager.
  • Building and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues.
  • Adhering to current health and safety regulations and procedures.

The ideal candidate for the Logistics Operative position at phs Group will possess:

  • The physical capability to manage substantial stock volumes daily.
  • The ability to perform effectively under pressure.
  • A valid forklift licence.
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices.
  • The commitment to execute all tasks in accordance with established protocols.
  • Proficiency in using appropriate tools and safety equipment.
  • The responsibility to report any equipment or safety gear defects immediately.
  • The awareness to avoid shortcuts that may pose unnecessary risks.
  • A commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • The diligence to report accidents or near-miss incidents promptly.
  • The initiative to suggest improvements for hazard reduction.
  • The willingness to cooperate in investigations to prevent future incidents.
  • A personal commitment to the safety of oneself and colleagues.
