The Director of Security Design Engineering Assurance is tasked with supervising security design project assurance efforts across all product and technology domains at Liberty Global and its subsidiaries. This position entails leading cross-functional teams, spearheading security design review processes, and ensuring compliance with security standards in diverse development settings.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate outstanding business acumen, stakeholder engagement capabilities, and the proficiency to apply consulting and persuasive skills effectively.
This pivotal role demands a robust, seasoned professional with substantial leadership experience in a complex, global organizational structure.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct and mentor a team of security design assurance specialists
- Provide guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle
- Establish connections with senior executives across the organization
- Manage the security project assurance lifecycle for all product and technology initiatives
- Ensure adherence to security standards and regulatory requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Significant experience in information security or a related discipline
- Strong expertise in security assessments and risk management
- Familiarity with security frameworks and industry best practices
- Experience in applying security controls within agile and waterfall methodologies
- Exceptional leadership and communication abilities
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND & CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP or CISM are preferred
