We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker and Companion to join our team at Independent Living Solutions Ltd. As a Support Worker and Companion, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with cognitive and physical disabilities to engage in leisure activities and access the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to the individual, enabling them to participate in activities such as golf, dog walking, and gym sessions.
  • Assist with daily tasks, including personal care and mobility support.
  • Accompany the individual to appointments and social outings, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Use your initiative to ensure the individual has suitable support, following specific direction and guidance as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with adults with cognitive and physical disabilities, with full training provided.
  • Essential experience of working with stroke victims, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with tact, understanding, warmth, and compassion.
  • Ability to use own initiative and work independently, with a flexible approach to meet the individual's needs.

Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate of £17.00 per hour, weekdays, and £18.00 per hour, weekends, and Bank Holidays.
  • 5.6 weeks' holiday (pro rata) and on-going training and support provided.
  • Free DBS check and on-going support from a dedicated Case Manager and HR department.
