Ceded Reinsurance Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Ceded Reinsurance team as a Senior Reinsurance Specialist. This role will be responsible for administering global specialty and property treaty reinsurance, including claims for identification and application of ceded reinsurance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor inward claim movements to identify and apply ceded recoveries, calculating and applying ceded recoveries in core underwriting systems.
  • Manage and operate ceded reinsurance in three operating system tools.
  • Review ceded comments from ESS India team on weekly/monthly reports to ensure correct application of ceded to treaty.
  • Partner with intermediaries to manage claims queries and sanction-related issues.
  • Build close relationships with the ESS Shared Services team in India and hold regular calls to discuss workload and issues.
  • Provide review and sign-off of new policy set-up by ESS Shared Services in core systems.
  • Work closely with the Ceded Claims team to support commutation requests and manage complex claims.
  • Ensure all contractual reporting requirements are met and reviewed as part of the weekly movement reports.
Requirements:
  • Experience with multiple lines of business in claims environments in previous insurance roles.
  • Advanced command of MS Office, particularly Excel skills, and potential Access.
  • Ability to liaise with key stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Expert collaborator with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong time management and organization skills, with agility to work on several topics at once.
  • Experience working with virtual teams and comfortable giving training to team members.
  • Ability to travel to other AXA XL offices for meetings and training.
