Position Overview: Hernshead Recruitment Ltd is seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to join our team. This role involves a combination of on-site and fieldwork, focusing on the diagnosis, identification, and resolution of issues related to electronic and electromechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering field support to clients, ensuring maintenance, service, troubleshooting, and repair of outdoor display systems across various regions.
  • Collaborating with all relevant parties to enhance product quality continuously.
  • Assisting in the launch of new products and related equipment, including evaluating prototypes and suggesting enhancements.
  • Providing support and collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams as necessary.
  • Facilitating the training and education of clients on product usage and maintenance.
  • Ensuring all work is conducted safely, in compliance with Health & Safety Risk Assessments and established Safe Working Procedures.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in technical support within the field and manufacturing testing of electronic, electrical, and mechanical products is advantageous. Familiarity with remote monitoring software and civil engineering principles is also beneficial.

Additional Skills:

  • The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting abilities for PC, electronic, and electromechanical equipment, along with excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A degree in a relevant technical or engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
  • A flexible work approach and a willingness to travel are essential for this role.
