What Skills and Experience We're Looking For

Maiden Erlegh School is seeking to appoint an Education Support Assistant for a period of maternity cover, to support the needs of individual pupils and small groups in accordance with school policy and government initiatives in the pursuit of high standards of pupil's achievement.

Key skills, qualifications and experience for this role include:
  • NVQ Level 2 / CACHE Level 2 Certificate or equivalent
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Knowledge of the school curriculum
  • Knowledge of the standard of work expected from pupils
  • Some experience with children with special needs is desirable but not essential
The successful applicant will enjoy working with 11-18-year-olds. You must be adaptable and willing to be involved in all aspects of school life, have a calm manner and be able to work as part of a team.
