Technical Operations Manager Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Technical Operations Manager to join their team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the progress of planned maintenance and remedial works, ensuring accurate costs and time management.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and coordinate the execution of maintenance and repair activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer satisfaction.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to improve maintenance efficiency, reduce downtime, and minimize costs.
  3. Collaborate with area managers, supervisors, and service teams to monitor maintenance performance and ensure continuity and compliance across the estate.
  4. Identify and implement opportunities to improve services, maximize value, and minimize risk, downtime, and costs.
  5. Provide end-to-end management of engineering processes, including service delivery improvement plans and innovation aligned to risk management deliverables.
  6. Ensure quality standards are consistently maintained and that safe systems of work are implemented and complied with.
  7. Oversee the management of logbooks, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant.
  8. Lead the account behavioral safety culture and drive a culture of interaction before prevention.
  9. Drive a culture of engineering efficiency with reduced travel time and increased daily tool time.
Requirements:
  • Thorough technical knowledge of hard FM, asset management, delivery, and maintenance of building services.
  • Relevant working experience of asset management, delivery, and maintenance of all building services, including critical services.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or working towards.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of statutory regulations associated with building services and permits to work systems.
  • CAFM management experience.
  • Demonstratable electrical/mechanical AP status either current or recent.
  • Strong analytical skills, including root cause analysis and process mapping.
  • Excellent technical report writing skills.
Package:

Salary: £55,000 + £4,800 Car Allowance
Hours: 08:00 - 16:30 Monday - Friday
2 Days working in Reading Office, 2 Days from home, 1 Day on sites
