About The Role

Delivering Excellence

M Group Services, a leading provider of essential infrastructure services, is seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in supporting project teams throughout the project life cycle, from early stages to close-out.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining target pricing for projects, ensuring effective collaboration with CWA and Scottish Water.
  • Reviewing and detailing estimating handover packages to meet CWA/Scottish Water standards.
  • Engaging with the supply chain to review tender submissions and ensure compliance with framework and NEC contract requirements.
  • Collaborating with CWA support functions to capture project specifics and ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Presenting estimating proposals to management for final approval, incorporating feedback and required adjustments.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience within the water industry, with a proven track record in estimating functions.
  • Strong contract knowledge, particularly NEC, and excellent IT skills, including Excel and estimating software.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.
  • The ability to work under tight deadlines and identify opportunities for improvement, influencing change as needed.
