Aeropeople Limited is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Lead Engineer - Electrical Systems within a prominent global organization specializing in defense, security, and aerospace.

This position offers the flexibility of hybrid working arrangements and adaptable working hours.

As part of the Electrical Power Systems Definition team, you will contribute to the design of the UK's next-generation submarine, integrating advanced technologies from various international partners.

Your responsibilities will include leading a team of engineers to define the essential system components necessary for the submarine's design and construction, which encompasses design documentation, spatial modeling, and production outputs.


This role provides opportunities for travel across the UK, including visits to various internal, customer, and supplier locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and managing an engineering team to ensure the successful delivery of functional design and specifications for Electrical Power Systems equipment.
  • Identifying and managing associated technical risks, assumptions, and dependencies.
  • Offering expert advice on electrical power technical matters across a diverse range of engineering disciplines.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
