Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HGV Class 2 HIAB driver to join our team at Backline Logistics Avonmouth. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering goods to various builder's merchants in the local area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a HIAB crane to deliver goods to various locations
  • Complete deliveries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure the safe and secure loading and unloading of goods
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients
Requirements:
  • Full UK Category C Licence
  • Experience driving HGV Class 2
  • Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Valid HIAB ticket
  • Knowledge of load security using ratchet straps and other methods
  • Good knowledge of the local area
Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly rate: £16.50-£17.50 per hour
  • Minimum 9 hours paid per day
  • Up to 28 days holiday accrued per year
  • Pension contributions after 12 weeks probation period

  • Free training to upskill drivers

  • Guaranteed minimum of 45 hours paid per week available
