About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geriatric Medicine Consultant to join our team at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our geriatric medicine services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care transitions and coordination
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction
  • Contribute to the development of our geriatric medicine services, including the design and implementation of new programs and initiatives
Requirements
  • Completion of a Specialist Training program in Geriatric and General Medicine
  • Broad clinical experience in care of the elderly and General Internal Medicine
  • Thorough and detailed knowledge of medical audit, medical education, current clinical and medical best practice
  • Understanding of the Clinical Governance process
