About the Role

Willmott Dixon is seeking an experienced Assistant Design Manager to join our London & East construction business. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for assisting in the development of construction projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design phase of construction projects, ensuring compliance with project objectives, codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to establish project requirements and design criteria.
  • Support the selection and appointment of design partners, ensuring design responsibilities are correctly apportioned.
  • Prepare information for regular design reviews to assess progress and identify potential risks or deviations.
  • Support the coordination and management of external design consultants, reviewing and providing feedback on their work.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a design or project coordination role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with project stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
  • Valid driving license and appropriate CSCS card.
