In alignment with NHS Scotland's initiative to enhance work-life balance, the full-time working week will transition from 37.5 to 37 hours starting from April 2024, maintaining current salary levels. This adjustment will also apply proportionately to part-time employees. Please be aware that some service areas may require a temporary extension of working hours up to an additional 30 minutes per week until the new schedule is fully implemented.
This position offers a part-time commitment of 19.8 hours per week, with a shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 1 PM.
Salary: Pro Rata for part-time hours.
We are excited to announce an opportunity to join our dedicated team within the Renal Outpatient and Acute Transplant Clinics as a Health Care Support Worker. The Renal Clinics and Assessment Area are integral parts of our healthcare system, focusing on patients with renal conditions and those requiring kidney transplants.
The team also administers haemodialysis services for both inpatients and outpatients. It is important to note that Renal Services in Glasgow operate across multiple sites, and flexibility may be required to support staffing needs in various areas.
As a Health Care Support Worker, you will be responsible for:
- Competently executing essential technical, invasive, and physical care tasks for the designated patient population.
- Ensuring the effective delivery of nursing care to patients while maintaining high standards.
- Reporting to the Senior Charge Nurse or Deputy Charge Nurse regarding care delivery.
