Job Summary:
The Property Surveyor will lead and manage the delivery of property investment, service, and inspection services to a portfolio of properties. This role is responsible for managing budgets in the range of £1.75m-£2.5m.
About the Role:
- Collaborate with housing operations teams to ensure timely delivery of services and maintain properties in good condition within property strategy targets.
- Manage contract management arrangements to ensure contractual obligations are met regarding service delivery.
- Conduct property inspections using advanced building pathology skills.
- Oversee project performance and work with the Strategic Partnership Team to deliver robust forecasting, valuation processing, and contract instructions.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through collaboration with contractors and the commercial team.
- Develop strong relationships with housing operations teams to ensure smooth workflow and meet business needs.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in delivering investment and repairs activities to a housing portfolio.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in managing property activities in housing.
- Experience working in social housing maintenance and/or planned investment sectors, either as a contractor or client-side.
- Extensive knowledge of building pathology and remediation actions.
- Project management experience in investment, compliance services, and/or reactive maintenance work.
- HNC in a building-related subject.
