About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Medical Officer to join our team at NHS Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Integrated Care Board. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of healthcare in our region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to our healthcare professionals
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and reduce health inequalities
  • Work closely with our partners to ensure seamless integration of services and effective communication
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of our long-term plan, using innovation and continuous improvement
  • Ensure our health services strategy reflects and integrates with the strategies of all relevant partner organisations
Person Specification
  • Be a currently registered and licensed medical practitioner with the regulatory body (GMC), or to have a clear pathway to achievement of the same (if not currently working in the United Kingdom)
  • Further qualification of management, leadership, or research
  • Substantial experience of board or system level leadership in primary or secondary care
  • Experience of managing relationships with the media and political stakeholders
  • Experience of providing clinical leadership, mentorship, and professional development at a very senior level
