Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shift Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our Wigston site in Leicester. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering effective first-class maintenance support to our 2 factories on site, working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern - two day shifts followed by two night shifts.
Key Responsibilities- To minimize plant and equipment downtime and maximize building upkeep through efficient response times, continuous improvements, data acquisition, and analysis.
- To carry out and complete internal maintenance projects and continuous improvement activities.
- To effectively deal with breakdown issues, temporary/permanent repairs, and modifications.
- To perform routine planned maintenance and monitoring, as well as rectify all maintenance issues that arise during the shift.
- To ensure engineering stock is kept up to date and at the required stock levels.
- To adopt an 'Always Audit Ready' approach.
- To manage and improve standards of Health and Safety, hygiene, quality, and food safety.
- Competent Multi-skilled Electrical and Mechanical Engineer.
- High levels of electrical and mechanical diagnostic/fault finding and the application of remedial work in such situations.
- Able to demonstrate effective analytical & problem-solving skills within a FMCG or food environment.
- BTEC/C&G or equivalent in Engineering.
- Able to demonstrate aptitude and ability in all technical aspects of the role.
- Self-motivated, driven, and determined to deliver results on time and to budget.
- Calm and professional demeanor who leads by example and builds relationships with key stakeholders.
- Effective team player who is equally comfortable with being the only engineer on shift when required.
