Senior Data Engineer (Python Spark SQL)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at Client Server, a leading Investment Management firm. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in transitioning our core data platform to Azure, managing 3rd party data ingestion and integration, and seeking ways to improve data quality and introduce event streaming.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data pipelines using Python, Apache Spark, and PySpark
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and integrity
  • Develop and maintain data models and architectures
  • Implement data governance and security best practices
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies

Requirements

  • Minimum 2.1 at BSc from a top-tier university, Computer Science or similar technical/scientific discipline
  • Strong experience with SQL, Apache Spark, and Python, including PySpark and Pandas
  • Strong knowledge of modern data engineering best practices
  • Experience with Azure and Data Bricks is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
