Automotive Service Specialist / Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

About the Role...

As a proficient technician, you will integrate into a team of professionals supporting one of our renowned retailers. Comprehensive manufacturer training will be provided, so prior brand-specific experience is not a prerequisite. You will also participate in ongoing training at Volvo's dedicated training and development center to stay current with the latest advancements in technology.

Key Responsibilities...

  • Conducting servicing and maintenance for all vehicles within the brand
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults, including warranty-approved tasks in accordance with brand standards
  • Performing Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties (if qualified)
  • Completing job cards and electronic documentation on franchise systems
  • Executing electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs)
  • Providing support to Apprentice Technicians as needed

What You Will Bring...

  • Experience from independent garages, fast-fit centers, car supermarkets, or main dealerships is valuable
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification (required, but Level 2 may be considered)
  • A collaborative team player who is adept at following established processes and protocols
  • Valid UK Driving License
  • Motivated, dedicated, and organized with a strong emphasis on Health & Safety in the workplace
  • MOT License is desirable but not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided
  • Certification in Electric and Hybrid vehicle technology is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be offered
