Willing Care is looking for a compassionate and skilled Complex Needs Assessment Nurse to become part of our diverse and supportive team. The successful candidate will possess experience in assisting individuals with learning disabilities and autism, playing a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for those in our care.
Key Qualifications
- Nursing qualification - Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse
- Valid UK NMC Pin
- Demonstrated experience in supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism
- Strong grasp of person-centered care and support planning
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for connecting with a wide range of individuals
- Familiarity with relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in the domain of learning disabilities and autism
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team culture
- *Valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle with business insurance
- Conduct visits to assess client needs and introduce available services.
- Develop preadmission care plans and risk assessments for individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
- Perform environmental risk assessments, evaluate medication management, and oversee moving and handling procedures.
- Collaborate with Social Services and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care quality.
- Create and implement person-centered support plans in collaboration with service users, their families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide guidance and support to staff, ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-quality care.
- Work closely with external agencies and organizations to enhance support and resources for service users.
- Stay informed on best practices, policies, and legislation related to learning disabilities and autism, integrating this knowledge into daily responsibilities.
