Aftersales Applications Specialist

Acorn by Synergie is working with an engineering coating company based in Cardiff to find a skilled Application Engineer.
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Application Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and qualifying thermal spray coating solutions and related processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop coating application methods suitable for ongoing production following established NPI procedures.
- Develop associated machining and finishing operations in conjunction with sub-contractors or in-house machinists.
- Design fixtures and tooling using the Solidworks package to facilitate error-free and productive manufacturing.
- Prepare manufacturing-related documentation, including images, drawings, work instructions, Bills of Material, and process routing cards.
- Provide technical support to sales and production teams.
- Strong background in mechanical or similar manufacturing engineering discipline.
- IT literacy: familiarity with Microsoft software and Solidworks.
- Alternative CAD experience will be acceptable.
Salary of up to £45,000 depending on experience.
