Job SummaryThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced technician to work with one of the leading manufacturers, retailers, and resellers of trailer and towing products in the UK. As a Vehicle Towbar & Service Technician, you will be responsible for fitting towbars and servicing trailers while maintaining good housekeeping and adhering to Health and Safety Regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Fitting towbars to customer vehicles, ensuring all marks are recorded on the relevant form.
- Keeping up-to-date with any changes to suppliers' towbar fitting instructions, including wiring via the Branch network and internet.
- Reporting any problems or damage relating to customers' vehicles/property immediately to the Branch Manager/Assistant Manager.
- Service and repair the Company's fleet of hire trailers to an agreed schedule.
- Maintaining and updating full records of each trailer in the Company hire fleet for servicing purposes.
- Assembling and modifying trailers as required.
- Living within a reasonable commuting distance of Cardiff.
- Having a UK driving licence with minimal points.
- Experience working in a vehicle aftermarket/fast fit Technician orientated role within the automotive industry.
- Starting salary up to £27,000 per annum.
- Access to a sales bonus (paid quarterly) subject to hitting Branch targets.
- Overtime subject to availability paid at standard rate.
- 32 days annual leave allowance (including bank holidays).
- Workplace pension scheme.
- Opportunity to work with one of the leading manufacturers, retailers, and resellers of trailer and towing products in the UK.
