About the Role:
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of financial management and a proven track record of providing high-quality financial support to business stakeholders. You will work closely with our External Affairs directorate to provide financial guidance and support, and will be responsible for managing finances for various schemes and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide financial guidance and support to the External Affairs directorate, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Manage finances for various schemes and projects, including prototype initiatives and pilot programs.
- Partner with non-finance colleagues to provide financial support and guidance, often with short turnaround times.
- Produce management accounts for the EA directorate, conducting thorough variance analysis to ensure high accuracy of income.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders to prevent delays to pilot schemes and projects.
- Support the generation and dissemination of management accounts for the organization.
- Assist with bids and tenders for new projects, including staffing costs and TUPE.
- Lead the budget and forecasting cycles within the EA team.
- Conduct regular meetings with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Work with Heads of Areas to establish reliable income tracking practices.
- Support the Fund-raising team in developing practices within the CRM system for clear visibility of income.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in financial management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to have a deep understanding of the charity/not for profit, public sector, education, housing, or civil service sectors, or be able to demonstrate exceptional knowledge of their structure and workings.
