About the Role

Birchrose Associates, a leading recruitment agency, is seeking a highly skilled Intellectual Property Paralegal to join their team in a City office.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Handle design and Trade Mark applications, including filings, completion reminders, processing official communications, publications, fee payments, grants, and certified copies.
  2. Manage incoming correspondence, including hard-copy mail and electronic correspondence.
  3. Review and identify due dates from incoming correspondence and diary dates.
  4. Review outgoing correspondence and update the firm's IP management system.
  5. Enter and create new case records details onto the IP management system.
  6. Generate and send out all standard correspondence.
  7. Update the IP management system with filing details.
  8. Monitor the daily critical due date list to ensure that Fee Earners are aware of all due dates.

Requirements

  1. Knowledge of Inprotech is desirable.
  2. At least 2 years of experience working within a Records or IP department.
  3. Strong knowledge of EP and UK Patent and Trade Mark processes is essential.
  4. CIPA Patent Paralegal qualification is desirable.
  5. CITMA Trade Mark Administrators qualification is desirable.
