About the Role
We are in search of a proficient Cyber Security Engineer to become an integral part of our team, focusing on the protection of our digital resources and IT systems. This position will serve as the key cyber security expert for our operations in the EU, contributing significantly to our worldwide security initiatives. Your responsibilities will include spearheading incident response efforts, managing security vulnerabilities, and executing protective measures to secure the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage responses to cyber security incidents, guiding the process from detection through to recovery.
- Create and uphold incident response strategies and protocols.
- Perform vulnerability assessments, prioritize fixes, and collaborate with teams to mitigate security risks.
- Monitor security notifications, evaluate potential threats, and improve threat detection methodologies.
- Work alongside teams to embed security measures into development and deployment workflows.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and legal regulations.
- Advise on secure configurations and best practices for new initiatives.
- Keep abreast of new security threats and trends, sharing insights with the team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in cyber security, particularly in incident response and vulnerability management.
- Relevant professional certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH) are highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and best practices (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
- Experience with security technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability assessment tools.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities.
