Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager to join our team at Workforce Staffing Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our manufacturing operations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supervise and plan weekend cleaning activities in conjunction with customers to ensure timely delivery of services that meet and exceed requirements.
- Supervise resources to ensure efficient working both as teams and as individuals.
- Ensure that required cleaning activities are delivered as and when required by the relevant schedule.
- Carry out quality and health and safety audits and address any non-conformances identified.
- Ensure that staff being supervised are thoroughly trained in all safety aspects relating to their job, that they are working to the relevant safety procedures, and that they are signed-for as per schedule.
- Monitor and record the holiday allocation, attendance, absenteeism, and timekeeping of the staff being supervised, ensuring company policy and procedures are applied where required.
- Understand and correctly apply company HR processes for dealing with grievances and disciplinary situations, seeking support from management when appropriate, and maintaining confidentiality.
- Able to be flexible with working hours according to customers' needs and expectations.
- Manage, develop, and motivate direct reporting staff.
- Ensure that effective communication is provided either verbally or in writing to all members of staff.
- Work closely with direct line managers to ensure handovers are an effective communication tool.
- Endeavour to build and maintain effective client relationships, ensuring that the company image is suitably represented.
- Ensure that all team members can identify root causes and take fast, effective action to resolve problems in hand.
- Arrange for staff to receive induction/job-specific training/re-training as required.
- Ensure that appropriate training is in place to meet the current and future demands of the shift.
- Develop and deliver presentations to management, colleagues, and customers.
Requirements:
- Proven experience of supervising staff.
- Relevant experience of cleaning and waste contracts.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and legislation.
- Computer literate.
- Experience of operating plant equipment.
- Effectively handling customer queries and complaints.
- Problem-solving aptitude.
- HNC or equivalent qualification desirable.
