CNC Operator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our team at Polytec Personnel Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load and operate a variety of CNC machines to meet production demands.
  • Ensure machines are scheduled and loaded efficiently to meet production requirements.
  • Unload and hand-finish components to meet quality standards.
  • Assist CNC Programmers in proving out and producing first-off production components.
  • Perform weekly machine maintenance and 5S tasks to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of Fanuc-based vertical milling machines.
  • Experience working with micron-level precision.
  • Machine loading and operation experience.
  • Basic understanding of engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of 5-axis milling and Wire EDM is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of multi-pallet, high-mix, low-volume machining is helpful.
  • Apprenticeship-trained or similar experience is considered.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Machine Shop environment.

About the Role:

This is a permanent position working 6am until 2:30pm Monday to Thursday and 6am until 1pm on a Friday. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of CNC machines and maintaining high-quality production standards.
