Safety Supervisor
The role involves executing site policies and procedures in accordance with assigned directives to uphold the security standards established by the institution. Additionally, the position requires the implementation of strategies aimed at managing and enhancing student conduct while minimizing disciplinary measures.
A prominent educational institution, operating across multiple locations, is seeking a dedicated, self-sufficient, and industrious individual to take on the permanent role of Campus Safety Coordinator.
Qualifications:
SIA Badge (Security Industry Authority)
Ability to travel to various locations as required (note: travel between sites during the day is not necessary)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support certified personnel in maintaining discipline by clarifying institutional regulations, potential risks, and inappropriate behaviors to students and their guardians.
2. Collaborate with the Safety Supervisor to develop a proactive approach to address student behaviors before disciplinary actions are necessary.
3. Assist the Safety Team with various tasks as directed by the Safety Supervisor.
4. Engage with students to foster a welcoming atmosphere, promoting the institution's values of 'Ready, Respectful & Safe'.
5. Alert appropriate personnel regarding any potential threats to the safety of staff, students, and visitors.
6. Conduct regular patrols of the institution's facilities and oversee recreational areas, including dining areas and external spaces.
7. Ensure that all inquiries and complaints are addressed promptly and effectively.
8. Report any procedural issues or significant student incidents to the Safety Supervisor.
9. Aid the Safety Team in responding to emergencies (e.g., fire evacuations, security threats) to provide necessary support to staff, students, and visitors.
