About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Senior Practice Accountant to join our dynamic and growing Accountancy Practice in Pembroke. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to take on a challenging and demanding role, with a clear path to directorship and profit sharing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the preparation of detailed accountancy and tax work, including personal tax, VAT returns, tax planning, management accounts, statutory accounts preparation, and corporation tax.
  • Lead and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their success and growth within the practice.
  • Review and finalize work to ensure high-quality standards are met.
  • Manage workflow and deadlines, prioritizing tasks to meet client needs and expectations.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for clients, providing clear and concise explanations of financial data.
  • Conduct client meetings, building strong relationships and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Contribute to the growth and strategic direction of the practice, identifying opportunities for expansion and improvement.
  • Onboard new clients, providing digital training and support to ensure a seamless transition.
Requirements
  • Fully qualified ACA, CTA, or ACCA.
  • Substantial experience working within an accounting practice.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Ability to utilize accounting software, such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Dext, to manage financial data efficiently.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and develop junior accountants.
  • Confident and effective communication skills, with the ability to interpret and explain financial data to clients.
