About the Role

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our New Applications Team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Developing and communicating technical plans to support our long-term vision
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful projects
  • Reimagining and improving our credit decisioning platform to optimize customer journeys
  • Building and maintaining integrations with third-party data providers
  • Improving our customer application journey, leading and collaborating with team members from initial ideation through deployment to evaluation and analysis
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Proficiency in Python, with a strong background in backend engineering
  • Experience with Django, PostgreSQL, and designing, building, and managing relational databases
  • A keen interest in both maintaining and optimizing current systems, and in engaging in full-stack projects
  • Commercial awareness and product mindset
