Position: Educational Facilitator
Location: Wirral Area

Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Contract Type: Full-Time / Temp to Perm

About Us:

Are you dedicated to making a significant impact in the lives of young individuals? Do you possess the resilience, empathy, and commitment required to assist students who have encountered difficulties in conventional education?

A network of Alternative Provision (AP) schools across the Wirral area is committed to delivering customized education to students who have faced obstacles in traditional school environments. They are seeking an educational facilitator for one of their locations. Their goal is to empower these young individuals to overcome learning barriers, facilitating their reintegration into mainstream education or guiding them towards a sustainable Post 16 pathway.

The Role:

As an Educational Facilitator in an AP school, you will be instrumental in shaping the futures of your students. You will be tasked with delivering a comprehensive and balanced curriculum to small groups, fostering a supportive and nurturing atmosphere that motivates each student to reach their maximum potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Delivery: Instruct a variety of subjects to small classes, modifying lesson plans to cater to the unique needs of each student.
  • Student Support: Collaborate closely with students to identify and dismantle barriers to learning, promoting a positive outlook towards education.
  • Progress Monitoring: Assess student progress and work together with colleagues to devise strategies for enhancement.
  • Parental and Multi-Agency Engagement: Maintain effective communication with parents, guardians, and external organizations to ensure a comprehensive approach to student development.
  • Reintegration and Transition: Assist students in their transition back to mainstream schooling or into further education, training, or employment.

What We're Looking For:

  • Resilience: You excel in challenging situations and can sustain a calm, positive demeanor under pressure.
  • Empathy: You genuinely care about the well-being and future of each student, and are dedicated to providing the necessary support for their success.
  • Experience: Previous experience in an AP environment or with students who have faced educational challenges is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Adaptability: You can adjust your teaching methods to accommodate the diverse needs of students and are flexible in your approach.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

All applicants will need to possess the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please refer to the FAQ section on the Teaching Personnel website for further details.
All pay rates mentioned will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role in some cases.
