Bookkeeper/Management Accountant Job Description

Our client, a reputable company based in the Tamworth area, is seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper/Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in a timely and accurate manner
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, providing exceptional support and service
  • Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, ensuring financial records are up-to-date and accurate
  • Deal with client enquiries via phone and email, providing clear and concise information
  • Prepare financial statements, including management accounts
  • Work closely with clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored support
  • Occasionally visit clients to discuss their financial affairs
Requirements:
  • Be confident and reliable, with excellent time management skills
  • Have strong IT skills, including proficiency in Excel
  • Have experience in completing tax returns and statutory accounts, although this is not essential
  • AAT level 4 and practice experience would be advantageous
