Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to manage and service an established portfolio of cross-class Commercial Insurance business. Our organization operates on an open market policy, granting access to a wide range of markets to deliver the most competitive terms and coverage available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, service, and manage both new and existing clients, which includes client visits, gathering risk information, and preparing presentations for insurers.
- Negotiate premiums with underwriters, process adjustments, and prepare comprehensive client reports and documentation.
- Sell and cross-sell insurance products tailored to client needs, while securing new business through referrals or leads generated independently or by the company.
- Maintain meticulous records of all communications with clients, insurers, and third parties, including telephone transcripts and emails.
- Utilize Acturis broking software to perform all functions efficiently.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum of five years' experience in broking, specifically in an account manager or account executive capacity within a general insurance brokerage.
Product Knowledge:
Strong technical proficiency in commercial insurance classes, including Property, Commercial Combined, Financial Lines, and Fleet.
Skills:
- Excellent business letter writing skills with a keen focus on coverage scope, exclusions, extensions, and policy limitations related to specific risks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with Acturis broking software is advantageous.
- CII insurance qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
