Job Overview

Barclay Simpson is seeking an experienced AML Risk Manager to join their team in the UK office. As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's international growth by developing and implementing a robust AML risk framework.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a comprehensive AML risk framework, including onboarding in high-risk jurisdictions, transaction monitoring, customer due diligence, and SAR reporting.
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance to the business on emerging markets, new product development, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the first-line onboarding team outside of the UK and conduct financial crime risk assessments.
  • Stay up-to-date with new regulations and industry developments, ensuring the company remains compliant and competitive.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Money Transfer business, with a focus on AML and financial crime prevention.
  • Strong understanding of AML legal frameworks and sanctions regimes applicable to money transfer, payments, and e-money firms.
  • Ability to offer commercial and proactive solutions while protecting the business and articulating complex regulatory requirements to stakeholders.
