About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Team Leader to join our team at Aquarius, a leading provider of specialist support services to individuals and families living with the effects of mental ill health, drug and alcohol use, gambling, and domestic violence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure good clinical practice and adherence to policy and statutory requirements
  • Provide leadership to the team, including induction, supervision, coaching, and work and development reviews
  • Manage performance management issues and assist in the recruitment of team members and volunteers
  • Develop and maintain effective liaison with commissioners and service providers
  • Manage the budget for the service and ensure appropriate recording and data reporting
  • Actively promote Aquarius' values and mission
Requirements
  • Professional qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 4 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies)
  • Proven experience of working in the substance misuse field and a commitment to complete NVQ4 Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Knowledge of alcohol and health-related issues, including the functional model of alcohol use
  • Experience of staff supervision/management/training
  • Familiarity with primary, secondary, and other outreach settings
  • Good understanding of safeguarding issues and effective engagement with clients
  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Flexible, can-do, and results-driven approach
