Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator Plater to join our team at BAE Systems. As a Fabricator Plater, you will be responsible for interpreting engineering drawings, marking off materials, and performing various fabrication tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpreting Engineering Drawings: You will be responsible for accurately interpreting engineering drawings to ensure that all fabrication tasks are completed to the highest standard.
  • Material Preparation: You will be responsible for marking off materials and preparing them for fabrication.
  • Fabrication Tasks: You will be responsible for performing various fabrication tasks, including plate preparation, using different methods such as oxy-fuel gas cutting and hand grinding, pressure testing, drilling, and lock fitting.
  • Quality Control: You will be responsible for ensuring that all fabrication tasks are completed to the highest standard and that all materials are properly marked and prepared.

Requirements:

  • Experience: You will have experience in a similar role, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry.
  • Skills: You will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
  • Education: You will have a relevant qualification in a field such as engineering or manufacturing.
