About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Investigator to join our team at Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary. As a Police Staff Investigator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our front-line officers with a wide range of investigative activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support investigative activities, including statement taking, CCTV review, suspect interviewing, and file building.
  • Work collaboratively with front-line officers and other investigators to gather and analyze evidence.
  • Contribute to the development of intelligence and the identification of potential suspects.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and other documents.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues as needed.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in an investigatory role, ideally with a working knowledge of criminal law and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
