HGV Trailer Technician Role Overview

**About the Company**

Kemp Recruitment is a leading recruitment agency specializing in the placement of skilled professionals in the fleet maintenance industry. Our client, a reputable fleet maintenance company, is seeking a highly skilled HGV Trailer Technician to join their team.

**Job Summary**

We are looking for a qualified HGV Trailer Technician to carry out maintenance, repairs, and modification work on the fleet of HGV trailers. The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of commercial vehicles and HGV trailers, with a strong focus on quality and safety.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Carry out maintenance, repairs, and modification work on HGV trailers
* Conduct pre-MOT checks and undertake any necessary repairs
* Perform quality control tests and present trailers for MOTs
* General HGV Trailer Technician duties

**Requirements**

* In-depth knowledge of commercial vehicles and HGV trailers
* HGV licence Class 1 (desirable but not essential)
* Fully qualified HGV Trailer Technician with City & Guilds / NVQ level 3 in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair
* Double deck maintenance experience is desirable
* Welding experience is desirable
