This role is essential for an innovative Insurtech firm looking to leverage data-driven insights to guide strategic decisions. Proficiency in Python, along with good SQL skills and ideally some familiarity with R, is required.
This company is a standout in the Insurtech sector, witnessing remarkable growth with over 200% revenue increase year-on-year and an annual Gross Written Premium (GWP) exceeding £50 million. It is an exciting opportunity for a Pricing Analyst to contribute significantly as the company continues to strengthen its market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement pricing models utilizing machine learning and statistical methodologies for motor and property & casualty insurance.
- Incorporate actuarial techniques into pricing frameworks.
- Examine and manipulate extensive datasets to uncover trends and optimization prospects.
- Work collaboratively with product development, underwriting, risk management, and other departments to formulate cohesive pricing strategies.
- Remain informed about industry advancements in data science and machine learning.
- Deliver insights and recommendations to upper management.
- Support new product initiatives with expert pricing analysis.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Experience in pricing analysis for motor and/or property & casualty insurance within the insurance industry.
- Expertise in machine learning methodologies and tools (Python, R, SQL).
- Understanding of actuarial principles, particularly in relation to motor and property & casualty insurance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
Work Arrangement:
This position is based in London, offering flexible hybrid working arrangements. Candidates from various locations are welcome, provided they are willing to travel to the office as needed. The company will cover travel expenses, including train tickets and overnight accommodations if necessary.
