We are seeking several experienced steel fixers to join our team in Birmingham, working on new residential blocks.

The Steel Fixer duties include:

  • Setting out the work area, following engineering plans and specifications.
  • Utilizing hand and power tools to cut and bend bars or mesh, ensuring precision and accuracy.
  • Tying rebar (reinforcement bars) together with wire, clips, or welds to build up sections, adhering to strict quality control measures.
  • Fitting spacers and chairs (supports) to ensure proper concrete placement and structural integrity.
  • Fixing the wooden formwork and shuttering used to hold setting concrete in place, guaranteeing a smooth and efficient construction process.
  • Adhering to and enforcing sites' high health and safety standards at all times, prioritizing the well-being of our team members and the public.
  • Working effectively within a team and on individual projects, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach.

The ideal Steel Fixer candidate must possess a blue CSCS card, demonstrating their commitment to safety and industry standards.
