About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Risk Assessor to join our team at Thrive Homes. As a Fire Risk Assessor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our residents and staff by conducting thorough fire risk assessments and providing expert advice on fire safety matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct fire risk assessments and fire door inspections to identify potential fire hazards and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Develop and implement fire safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure fire safety compliance across the organization, including monitoring and managing fire safety-related activities.
  • Provide expert advice on fire safety matters to colleagues and external agencies, including the Fire and Rescue Authority and Building Control.
  • Investigate and make recommendations on fire-related incidents, and support the delivery of fire safety training to colleagues.
  • Ensure internal and external audits are undertaken and compliance is met with our accreditations.
Requirements
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in a housing or property management organization.
  • Hold a formal fire safety qualification, such as a CFPA Fire Diploma or NEBOSH Fire Certificate.
  • Effective teamwork skills and the ability to work independently.
  • A member of a fire accrediting body, such as the Institution of Fire Engineers.
  • Good communication skills and a full driving license.
