Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a large and reputable plant in Telford. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of production equipment, ensuring that our plant runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on production equipment, including electrical and mechanical repairs.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems, implementing solutions to prevent future issues.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to improve equipment performance and efficiency.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with safety procedures and regulations.
- Provide breakdown cover on automated fast-moving equipment and service and repair production equipment in line with FMCG policies and safe working procedures.
Requirements:
- Experience within a manufacturing or production industry essential.
- Experience with conveyors essential.
- A team player with plenty of ideas and enthusiasm and able to work under pressure.
- Open-mindedness to learn new techniques & technology.
- Electrical or Mechanical ability essential.
- PLC knowledge desirable but not essential.
- Formal qualifications to NVQ, C&G or ONC.
- Time served Electrical apprenticeship advantageous.
