Senior/Principal Civil Structural Engineer (Defence Infrastructure) - Contract

£ per hour (DOE) - Inside IR35

Glasgow - Hybrid (2 days in office per month)

Carrington West is seeking a highly skilled Senior/Principal Civil Structural Engineer to join our client, an international engineering consultancy, on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Influence the design and maintenance of key Defence facilities, ensuring safety and compliance.
  2. Lead and justify design changes in high-risk environments, guaranteeing safety and reliability.
  3. Develop and manage documentation supporting Nuclear Infrastructure Design.
  4. Establish and maintain schedules for Examination, Inspection, Maintenance, and Testing.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  1. HNC in Civil Engineering.
  2. Basic health and safety training.
  3. Training in nuclear safety case development.
  4. A strong track record in Civil Engineering, preferably within the UK nuclear industry.
  5. Proficiency in designing and assessing industrial and maritime structures.
  6. Proficiency in relevant design software and IT tools.
