Controls Systems Engineer

P&S Personnel is excited to announce an opportunity for a Controls Systems Engineer to become a vital part of our client's team on a permanent, full-time basis.
As a key member of the engineering team, you will be required to travel internationally, spending up to two weeks at various client locations.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing, installing, and commissioning advanced PLC, servo, and HMI software tailored for the high-speed packaging machinery sector.
- Producing and implementing PLC and servo motion code, robotic control code, and HMI code in accordance with machine specifications.
- Collaborating with other engineering divisions to ensure successful completion of Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
- Ensuring that projects are delivered on schedule and within budget constraints.
- Maintaining competitiveness by adhering to established software production timelines.
- Keeping comprehensive records throughout the project lifecycle.
- Visiting clients globally as necessary to troubleshoot issues and conduct machine/system testing.
- Supporting the business's commitment to developing faster, more cost-effective, and sustainable machinery.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering-related role.
- At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
- Proficient knowledge of Rockwell and Siemens control systems, C#, Visual Basic, PLC/HMI programming, and servo drives.
- Experience in programming robotic systems.
- Familiarity with coding and testing machinery.
- A valid UK driving license.
- Strong computer literacy.
- Flexibility in work assignments.
