Your Responsibilities
Engage actively in all Group Strategy initiatives as a member of the leadership team. Oversee a dedicated team of innovation professionals and manage the daily innovation processes and strategic roadmaps for Tesco. Seek external innovation opportunities by collaborating with various startups, venture capitalists, and other organizations. Identify, define, and prioritize innovation initiatives in alignment with Tesco's strategic goals, guiding them from concept to pilot and beyond. Govern innovation efforts for Tesco on a global scale, coordinating with internal teams (e.g., Technology, Dunnhumby) and external partners. Form and lead cross-functional teams to drive strategy or innovation projects and pilot programs. Establish and facilitate governance structures to provide strategic oversight and direction for all initiatives and pilots. Manage interdependencies and impacts across various portfolios and programs. Ensure consistent and transparent progress, identifying and addressing issues, risks, dependencies, and opportunities.Qualifications
Extensive experience in developing and executing innovation projects within a corporate setting. Proven track record of managing budgets to achieve sustained returns on investment. Ability to prioritize and implement strategic pilots and programs effectively. Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional project teams, including peers and senior leaders. Experience in influencing senior stakeholders and facilitating challenging governance discussions. Capacity to embrace uncertainty and curiosity, eager to propose potential solutions and opportunities in new areas.
