About the Role

Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support a child with additional needs in a primary school setting. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the classroom teacher to provide tailored support and ensure the pupil can fully engage in learning activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with specific learning needs, adapting lessons and activities to their level.
  • Assist with classroom tasks, ensuring the pupil is engaged and supported throughout the day.
  • Help manage behaviour and provide emotional support where needed.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies.
  • Keep detailed records of the pupil's progress and communicate with staff and parents regularly.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children, especially in a 1:1 or SEN support capacity, is highly desirable.
  • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
  • A flexible, positive attitude and a passion for supporting young learners.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
