Job Title: Behaviour Mentor Teaching Assistant

As a Behaviour Mentor Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a positive learning environment and fostering a culture of respect and inclusivity. You will work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to develop and implement strategies that address challenging behaviour and promote social and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide targeted support to students to address challenging behaviour and promote positive relationships.
  • Implement and monitor individual behaviour support plans to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Collaborate with teachers and external agencies to address specific needs and develop tailored support plans.
  • Foster positive relationships with students to encourage their social and emotional development.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide behaviour initiatives to promote a positive learning environment.
  • Provide feedback to teachers and parents on the progress of behaviour support plans.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar Teaching Assistant role is advantageous.
  • Empathy and a genuine passion for promoting positive behaviour in students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.
  • Knowledge of relevant behaviour management strategies and interventions.
