Electrical Engineering Apprentice

Knauf UK & Ireland, a leading manufacturer of lightweight building materials, is seeking a skilled Shift Electrician to join their Engineering Team in Immingham.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply electrical expertise to optimize plant availability through efficient preventative maintenance and swift responses to breakdowns.
  • Assist the manufacturing team by addressing breakdowns, resolving quality issues, implementing technical improvements, and supporting daily operations.
  • Monitor machine failures and make changes or recommendations to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Develop and carry out preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Prepare work for maintenance periods, including sourcing parts and equipment.
  • Keep accurate records of work carried out on SAP.
  • Participate in team and individual projects, including Staff Council and Health & Safety.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as an Electrician within motor maintenance, fault finding, PPM maintenance, panel maintenance, etc.
  • Knowledge of electrical power and control, PLC control systems, and production, engineering, or process controls.
  • HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or NVQ Level 3 Electrical Apprenticeship.
  • Experience with CMMS systems (Ideally SAP).
